The Coziest Joggers & TBB ASKS: January 2018

Good morning. This morning I thought we would be dropping boys off at school, but unpredictable, freezing temps (this is Georgia) gave my boys another day off at school! I know. Those of you in below freezing are baffled I'm sure. As I type the weather is far more mild than predicted at a chilly 30 degrees. However, the afternoon shows snow, followed by freezing rain. So, thought I was ready for schedule I'll embrace the day in my coziest joggers and share this month's TBB (The Blended Blog) ASKS!

I enjoy the ASKS series and hope you enjoy these little peeks and snippets from myself and those that participate. But before I get to the questions, allow me to share about this outfit. You know I hate to waste a photo session!

That being said let's go back to these joggers! After purchasing my first pair of joggers last Thanksgiving sales, I knew I would pick up another pair this year and I stuck to my guns. These are now my favorite with their cozy, softness inside and out. When it's cold I like to wear my fur-lined boots, which really made my joggers appear to be loose leggings but I still went for it. From there I paired them with the stretchy tee and long cozy cardigan.

The jewelry was an easy bronze grab, as all my jewelry is organized by metal. The bag was a birthday gift from a friend a few years ago!

What do you think about joggers?? Do you own a pair and if you do, are they casual or dressy??

Outfit Breakdown:
Long Cardigan: Old American Eagle Find/Notch White Tee: (GAP)/Softspun Marled Joggers (GAP)/Duck Boots: Clarks/Necklace: the Giving Keys (CREATE)/Stretch Bracelet: (Comfy Cozy)/Wrap Bracelet: Pop Of Posh/Bronze Ring:  (Jasmine)

***Alright, let's get to the TBB ASKS!***

1. Resolutions or No Resolutions? No resolutions, but I'm making "plans".  Plans to get organized, drink more water, start exercising, sing more, improve the blog, have a 30 minute ban on electronics for everyone in the house on school nights. Doesn't sound like much but you should have heard the weeping and gnashing of teeth when it was declared!

2. Love snow or No Snow? I say I LOVE it, but i don't have to LIVE in it! Here's a couple of pics to one of my greatest adventures yet - a surprise trip from my friends to visit my sweet sister in Alaska! Read about these adventures HERE.

3. Name a New Place you want to go this year?  Last year was Alaska. How do I beat that?? Honestly, I'd love to go to Tuscany, but that's out of reach for this season of my life.  Universal Studios, Florida?? lol.

4. Would you rather have a new Hair cut or Hair color? I love a good cut. But color. As much as I hated to start the regular color process, I love the way a good color and style make me feel!

BEFORE COLOR

AFTER COLOR

5. Name one special thing you want to do for yourself this year? Wow. That's hard. Join a gym again? Maybe meet a blogger friend in person? I'm so spontaneous. I will have to think more on this one.

6. Least Favorite thing about January? The Grey, Dreary, Overcast weather.

7. Most Favorite thing about January? The excitement of New Beginnings. Of course any day can be a new day but there's something about January.

8. When do you take down your Holiday decorations? January 1st

9. Do you diet in January? No, but I do clean up the eating a bit. (You know all that chocolate and licorice. I LOVE licorice.)  I'm excited about my new Laura Lea Balanced cook book. You can check that out here

10. What area of your home do you want to organize the most? The Kitchen. In fact, I've already began cleaning and making plans.

The plan is to make a functional pantry, add some more counter as well as a place to set up some office storage. It's a tall order but it's gonna happen or momma's gonna go crazy. This picture is my temporary transition set up. We already moved the desk out. Next up will be to paint. Then more brainstorming. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated. ;)

11. Favorite Winter Comfort Food? Any kind of soup or chili

12. Favorite Guilty Pleasure: Cupcakes ;) ;)

That's all for today, my friends! Hope you have a wonderful start to the new year!!!

Chrissy

  4. Those joggers look so comfy! I only have a pair of black joggers, I need to find some other colors/textures! We had such a mild winter until my kids Christmas break started, then we were in temps 5 and below. It is warming up to 35 this week finally! I hope you survive with them home another day. ;)

    1. They truly are! And black is where I started as well. Unless someone sends me some castoff joggers, I will try and curb my purchasing any more. Our lifestyle permits me to stay as casual as I'd like most days. Not the best for blogging. haha! And wow! that's cold. Stay warm.

  14. I loved reading this and it sucks that I missed doing The Asks for this month cause the questions were great. I hope you make all your plans come true!! For the entire year, not just January.

P.S. In 2018 you should visit the Great Lakes state. We would have a blast.
